History

Centena Group's foray into the marine sector began in 1980 with its flagship company, Maritronics. Established with a clear vision to revolutionize maritime services, Maritronics quickly diversified its offerings to include industrial automation, identification and security solutions, and educational training systems, establishing itself as a comprehensive maritime technology provider.

In 2019, the addition of Marine Engineering Technologies (MET) further expanded Centena Group's presence. MET's focus on innovative marine engineering solutions complemented Maritronics' offerings, enhancing the group's portfolio.

Centena Group also introduced the Edge brand, specializing in tailored automation solutions for marine operations. With Edge's innovation and Maritronics' experience, the Marine Navigation, Communication, and Automation Sector leads the industry, driving progress while meeting the evolving needs of the maritime community.
